In line with tradition, Hennessey Performance tuning company attempts to create a new record for the quickest car with a Christmas tree mounted on the roof each year before the holidays. This year, they opted to establish a new record with a customized Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The event was held at Texas's Pennzoil Raceway. Before the race, the Porsche model vehicle had several changes. The 3.8-liter volume engine's output was raised from 650 hp to 750 hp. Eventually, the driver reached a high speed of 175 mph (282 km/h).
Representatives of the workshop stated that the endeavor was successful, except that no new record was set. The quickest automobile is still a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawck, which boasts a 1,000-horsepower engine. It reached a peak speed of 181 mph (291 km/h) in 2019. Out of pure curiosity, the Porsche drove the track once more, this time without the Christmas tree. It attained a peak speed of 206 mph (332 km/h) under these conditions.
