Ford Brings The Heat To SEMA With Custom Garage Lineup, Featuring A 700-HP F-150
by AutoExpert | 1 November, 2024
Ford is bringing a lineup of surprises to SEMA to introduce the Ford Custom Garage—a fresh approach to offering dealer-installed upgrades. Instead of browsing through Ford’s long list of accessories, buyers can choose from pre-packaged bundles, each with a set price.
The warranty covers the upgrades as long as an authorized dealer installs them. To kick things off, Ford Custom Garage is offering a few Bronco packages focused on styling.
But the real excitement is a kit that transforms an F-150 into a 700-horsepower street beast. Leading the charge is the F-150 FP700S project truck, which takes a 2024 F-150 XL single-cab pickup and supercharges its 5.0-liter V8 to deliver 700 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The package also includes a new cat-back exhaust, fender vents, and lowering springs, all sending power to the rear wheels—keeping it true to classic muscle truck roots.
Ford has not yet disclosed the package's price, but we anticipate its launch soon. Meanwhile, another Ford truck on display won’t be up for sale. Ford Performance joined forces with builder Solomon Lunger to create “Clyde,” a custom 1969 F-100 that houses the same 5.2-liter supercharged V8 found in the F-150 Raptor R, but with a 3.8-liter supercharger, pushing it to over 900 horsepower.
The custom build swaps traditional truck suspension for coilovers and features carbon fiber body panels. According to Ford’s director of Vehicle Personalization, Kim Mathers, “Our customers want to make their vehicles unique, and we’re always listening for new trends to offer as limited-edition Ford Custom Garage packages.” Catch these builds and more at the 2024 SEMA Show from November 5-8.
