Ssangyong Has Unveiled The Design Of Its Next-Gen SUV

SsangYong, a Korean automaker, unveiled the development strategy for the 2nd of its planned company-saving vehicles today. This SUV, named X200, is meant to embody the company's slogan: "Powered by Toughness."
The concept appears to include a few recognizable styling cues from a well-known off-roading company, which gives the compact SUV a robust and entertaining appearance. Ssangyong claims to have drawn design ideas from its past, with the original 1983 Korando SUV (which was inspired by the classic Jeep CJ) serving as the model's foundation.
Following that, the manufacturer established 4 design principles for the X200: Robust Architecture, Unexpected Delight, Vibrant Contrast, and Communion with Nature. Sadly, despite being inspired by the Korando (which is currently a tiny crossover), the firm hasn't revealed where the X200 will fall into its range in terms of size. Those concepts are said to have motivated the design's rugged, structural shape, the contrasts between the harsh look and the attractive components and the design's harmony with wilderness. All of these elements are common in the rugged crossovers sector.
The new X200 is the follow-up to the J100. The “Powered by Toughness” design approach was also used on the mid-size SUV and pickup, which were unveiled in June. The cars are part of a strategy to restore the brand after it went bankrupt late last year.
Although SsangYong has not stated if X200's powertrain would be electric, the company has stated that the new cars will work together to provide SsangYong a firm presence in the SUV industry and will have "eco-friendly powertrains."
Whereas J100 is built on a new platform that can accommodate both all-electric and internal combustion engines, SsangYong has upgraded its current Korando with an electric motor, indicating that the firm is committed to the technology. With the next J100 and X200 models, they've drawn a clear line in terms of style, and all from here on out will be designed in this new brand manner.
