Concept Zero By Modellista Unveiled: The Future Of EV Styling

Toyota’s in-house tuner, Modellista, has unveiled the Concept Zero at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, and it’s a bold reimagining of the all-electric bZ4x. The Concept Zero is a statement of where Modellista might be headed.
The wheels immediately draw your attention. They feature a unique, aero-efficient three-spoke design that feels like something pulled straight out of a sci-fi film. To complement the look, Modellista has smoothed over the bZ4x’s standard black fender cladding, replacing it with body-colored panels. The result? A cleaner, more seamless profile that feels modern yet timeless.
The front bumper gets a complete overhaul, trading traditional air intakes for an illuminated light strip that runs the width of the car. Paired with headlight covers and a more aggressive lower chin equipped with subtle fins, it gives the car a sharper, sportier attitude. Around the back, Modellista has added LED accents and a reworked diffuser that ties the whole design together.
Step inside, and the futuristic vibe continues. Ambient lighting flows through the dashboard and center console, giving the cabin a soft, high-tech glow. It’s the kind of interior that makes you want to take your time, just to soak in all the details.
While the Concept Zero’s design is forward-thinking, it doesn’t mess with the bZ4x’s proven electric platform. It likely keeps the stock AWD setup, delivering 215 hp from its e-TNGA architecture. This one’s all about style, leaving the powertrain untouched for now.
Modellista didn’t stop at just one reveal. They also brought an art piece called Embryo to the Tokyo Auto Salon. This sculptural creation is more than just eye candy—it’s a glimpse into the tuner’s future design language.
