Mini Superleggera Concept, the star of 2014 LA Auto Show!

Los Angeles Auto Show has a star that comes from Germany and not from America, as it was expected. The Mini Superleggera Concept is the car with which the Germans were able to capture most overseas audiences.
The prototype previously presented at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este caused a stir among Europeans, but British from MINI were not satisfied and behold, they brought the roadster to the Los Angeles Auto Show.
MINI Superleggera Concept is likely to become the successor of the current MINI Roadster and of course the standard model will undergo some changes, but we hope that the design stays as close to concept images as possible.
This concept represents the future line of MINI and uses an electric drivetrain, probably borrowed from BMW i3. The car was designed and developed in a joint project of the departments of design in Munich and Touring. Hence the design featuring classic Italian origins.
Unfortunately, the officials have not revealed whether this concept will be released into mass production or not. But even if it gets the green light, this will not happen earlier than 2018!
