Following the release of the Mazda CX-3 Super Edgy, Mazda introduced several special trim options for the Mazda3 and CX-30 in Japan, as well as minor improvements to the e-SkyActiv X engine.
These include modifying the gasoline engine's intake port and exhaust silencer to provide a fuller sound that will enhance the driving comfort while accelerating. Developers have also improved the feel of the gas pedal for a better connection with the automobile. The e-SkyActiv X is a mild-hybrid 2.0-liter four-cylinder motor that produces 183 hp (137 kW/186 PS) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque.
The Smart Edition is a new trim option accessible for cars equipped with the e-Skyactiv X motor. It has an intelligent driving display, smart brake assistance, a high beam management system, lane keep assist, and blind-spot detection, among other features.
Black 18-inch aluminum wheels, gloss-black mirrors, and reddish detailing within the cabin distinguish the Black Tone Edition, which is offered for all engine configurations of both cars.
All Mazda3 versions get a new dimming turn light, similar to the more modern CX-30. Furthermore, Mazda3 and CX-30 get a new color choice in Platinum Quartz Metallic, whereas the Mazda3 Sedan gets a new color combination in Polymetal Gray Metallic.
Mazda3 and CX-30 orders are now being accepted in Japan, with cars expected to arrive in shops later in November.
