Gunther Werks Showcases Bright Viola Purple Porsche 993 Speedster
by AutoExpert | 30 December, 2021
This Viola metallic purple Speedster is Gunther Werks' most recent project, and even in these unfinished drawings, it looks incredible. The brothers behind this project are known on Instagram as @porschelifenyc and @lloyd.rosenman.
The rich purple exterior is eye-catching, while the lowest half of each side has lighter-colored stripes. The front splitter, windshield surround, rear deck nacelle features, and elements of the ducktail spoiler all have visible carbon-fiber trim.
Pepita houndstooth fabric with purple stitching adorns the seats on the inside. Gray Alcantara and leather are two other options. Also, there's a lot more carbon fiber visible. Except for a few minor adjustments, their customized style for this 911 Speedster is nearly complete.
A 4.0-liter flat-six engine produces 435 hp (324 kW) and 335 lb-ft (454 Nm) of torque in the Gunther Werks Speedster. At 7,800 rpm, the motor reached its redline. The power is sent to the rear differential via a Getrag G50 6-speed manual with modified gear ratios and a carbon clutch that locks to 40%.
It's equipped with external reservoir shocks and a hydraulic nose lift system. The front brakes are Brembo six-piston calipers, while the rear brakes are Brembo four-piston calipers. Three-piece forged aluminum wheels with a five-spoke design echoing the old Fuchs style are fitted to the Speedster.
To refresh your memory, Porsche only produced two genuine 911 Speedsters. One was for Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the creator of the Porsche 911, and the other was ordered by Jerry Seinfeld.
