A freelance designer has unveiled his vision for a new Mitsubishi Pajero, giving us a taste of what the future might hold until the real thing arrives. Filipino designer Enoch Gonzales took inspiration from the iconic off-roader’s earlier versions.
To start with, a big grille and a series of T-shaped LEDs make up the front end.
To attract buyers, the Pajero's designer opted for body-color cladding, flush door handles, and a clamshell hood. There was deliberate planning behind this shift, since the latest Japanese reports indicate the next-gen Pajero would most likely have an upgraded interior. However, the original plan for the Mitsubishi Pajero had a ladder-frame chassis.
The next-generation Mitsubishi Pajero could be a formidable competitor to Toyota's J300 Land Cruiser by sharing components with the Infiniti QX80 and the next Nissan Patrol. New rumors nevertheless suggest that the hybrid new Pajero would share its platform with the smaller Outlander's unibody CMF-C/D design.
Going back to the real world, the company has not yet disclosed the exact debut date of the Mitsubishi Pajero.
