Ararkis Sandstorm Electric Hypercar To Shake Up The Industry
by AutoExpert | 20 February, 2024
Hey, everyone! Meet the Sandstorm from Ararkis Automobili, a newcomer in the hypercar world with bold performance claims. While it's currently just flashy renderings, it aims to be the world’s fastest-accelerating production car, boasting a blistering 0-62 mph time of just 1.5 seconds, beating even the Rimac Nevera.
But with only 20 units planned and a starting price of $2 million, it's certainly exclusive. Ararkis Automobili might not be familiar, but it's a fresh face on the scene.
This startup, based in the UK and founded by South African businessman Priven Reddy, is foraying headfirst into the hypercar industry. Their debut creation, the Sandstorm, exists only digitally for now. Renderings show a sleek vehicle with a massive windshield, sketchy-looking fender-mounted LEDs, sizable side intakes, and an active rear wing.
The Ararkis Sandstorm hypercar will ride on a bespoke chassis made from carbon fiber and aluminum composite materials. Power will come from dual high-performance custom EV motors with a state-of-the-art single-speed transmission. Details on power output and torque are still a mystery, but the liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack will offer a capacity of 115 kWh, promising an estimated range of 311 miles and rapid charging.
Aside from its impressive acceleration, the company targets a top speed of 186 mph, although this falls short compared to competitors like the Rimac Nevera. Interior details are sparse, but expect seats crafted from magnesium-aluminum alloy, CFRM, and Alcantara, along with a generous infotainment touchscreen and Bose audio system.
There's no official launch date yet, and the production version seems distant, judging from the renders.
