Subaru has unveiled the STI Sport R-Black Limited editions for the WRX S4 and Levorg in Japan, adding an extra touch of style and exclusivity to the performance sedan and wagon. These new flagship trims stand out with sexy black accents and upgraded interior details.
The R-Black Limited models feature black mirror caps and roof antennas. Black alloy wheels and a prominent rear wing from the STI Sport EX trim further enhance the WRX's sporty look. Eight colors are available for both models, including a new Galaxy Purple Pearl option.
Inside, the highlight is a set of black Ultrasuede Recaro bucket seats with red stitching and an embroidered STI logo on the headrests. The driver’s seat comes with an eight-way power adjustment. The rest of the cabin follows suit with black leather and suede-like materials on the dashboard and door panels, complemented by red contrast stitching.
Mechanically, there are no changes. Both models retain the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder boxer engine, delivering 271 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through a CVT with a virtual eight-speed manual mode. Subaru also announced minor updates for the 2025 WRX S4 and Levorg lineups in Japan, including improvements to their advanced driver-assistance systems.
The STI Sport R-Black Limited editions are now available for order, priced at ¥5,302,000 ($34,700) for the WRX S4 and ¥5,368,000 ($35,200) for the Levorg. This is a ¥275,000 ($1,800) premium over the STI Sport EX trim. Production is capped at 250 units per month for the sedan and 900 units per month for the wagon.
