Subaru Takes The Crown In 2024 Car Reliability Rankings, Outshining Lexus And Toyota
by AutoExpert | 13 December, 2024
Consumer Reports just dropped its list of the most reliable car brands for 2024, and Subaru snagged the top spot, beating out Lexus and Toyota. The rankings are based on feedback from actual car owners, who shared how their rides have been holding up.
Subaru scored a solid 68 out of 100, thanks to the reliability of models like the Forester and Impreza—though the Solterra EV didn’t quite hit the mark, scoring below average.
Lexus followed with a score of 65, and Toyota landed in third with 62. Many expected Toyota to dominate, but issues with the bZ4X EV and a string of recalls hurt their standing this year.
Other big names like Honda, Acura, Mazda, Audi, BMW, Kia, and Hyundai rounded out the top performers, with Buick just missing the top 10.
As you move further down the list, you’ll find Nissan, Ford, Genesis, Volvo, Chevrolet, Tesla, Volkswagen, Jeep, GMC, Cadillac, and Rivian, wrapping up the rankings.
