Zeekr, a rising star in the electric vehicle (EV) world, has just made a significant splash in Europe. The Chinese automaker celebrated the delivery of its first 001 model in Zeist, Netherlands, at its cutting-edge Hi-Tech Service Center.

This marks a notable entry for Zeekr into the European market, a region increasingly embracing electric mobility.

The journey began with Zeekr opening pre-orders for the 001 Shooting Brake in the Netherlands and Sweden on June 28. Merely 35 days later, the first European models were rolling off the production line. The inaugural European 001 is the top-tier Privilege AWD variant.

The handover ceremony was graced by Zeekr Europe's top executives, including CEO Spiros Fotinos and Marc Bras, head of sales for the Netherlands.

With a starting price of €59,490 (about $64,200), the Zeekr 001 Long Range version offers an accessible entry into the EV market. For those seeking more power, the dual-motor Performance AWD and Privilege AWD variants are available at €62,490 (about $67,400) and €67,490 (about $72,800), respectively. The Privilege AWD model, the flagship of the lineup, boasts a dual electric motor setup. This powerhouse delivers 536 horsepower (400 kW) and 506 lb-ft (686 Nm) of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and cover 580 km (360 miles) on a single charge. The EV's fast-charging capability further sweetens the deal, allowing the battery to recharge from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The handover ceremony was more than just a vehicle delivery. It symbolized Zeekr's commitment to revolutionizing e-mobility in Europe. "This is a very proud moment for all of us," Fotinos stated. "We’re delighted to see European customers experiencing what makes Zeekr unique. Our goal is to simplify the transition to electric, making it seamless and effortless."

Zeekr's rollout in Europe is just the beginning. With plans to escalate the delivery of the 001 and introduce the X SUV next year, Zeekr is set to be a major player in shaping Europe's electric future.
