What? Chrysler 300 SRT muscle car no longer available in the U.S.?

America, the birthplace of the muscle car and Chrysler has given the 300 SRT a facelift with lots of subtle and not so subtle changes. But if you want one, you will have to go to Australia or one of several other faraway countries.
It seems that more and more of the famed American muscle cars are going "down under". No reason was given, but one can only guess it is for compliance with new emission and safety regulations.
The redesign includes daytime running lights, a new cleaner front grill, and a cleaner look on the front end. Some improvements in the interior, including a rotary gear shifter, redesigned steering wheel and a revamped instrument panel.
The SRT has the same 470 hp 6.4 liter Hemi V8, Brembo 4 piston brakes, Getrag limited-slip differential, and Bilstein dampers.
The car pictured in the photo is the Australian variant.
