''The Cyberster is a bold statement that looks strongly into MG’s future, touching on our heritage but more importantly building on our technology and advanced design'' according to Carl Gotham, Director of SAIC Design Advanced London. ''Cyberster is a hugely exciting concept for us.''
MG presents a new two-seater sports car concept inspired by the brand's retro-style MGB Roadster and is designed to run on an all-electric architecture. The automotive company ensures its future clients that this car could rate up to 500 miles (800 km) on a full charge reaching the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration in almost 3 seconds too. There are still horsepower specifications to reveal a little bit later.
Painted in a striking glamorous red paint, the car has its front end featuring a classically shaped MG grille that has an air duct role - this way, the airflow is directed over the vehicle’s chassis. Meanwhile, the ‘Magic Eye’ headlights open when switched on. You can notice the KammLED strips running down its sides and the dubbed ’kamm tail’ flat rear end featuring a distinctive LED light signature that is aimed to echo the MG’s British heritage.
The interior is visible, since this is an open vehicle you clearly assume that this concept is a purely driver-centric car. Featuring a separated cockpit between the driver and passenger, the vehicle brings a large digital instrument cluster and a second central screen. The electric Cyberster version has beloved features such as, 5G connectivity, 'zero gravity' seats, floating head restraints, door panels and red leather handles to match the ‘laser belt’ that runs down the car’s exterior.
