Toyota 4Runner Cherishes Its 40th Anniversary With A New Limited Edition
by AutoExpert | 25 May, 2022
This year's Toyota 4Runner has a new level of safety as well as more options. It will be the 40th model year in 2023, with over 4 million units sold. The 2023 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition has thus been offered to the US market. Only 4,040 instances will be provided.
This vehicle will be available in three colors: White, Midnight Black Metallic, and Barcelona Red Metallic, and will be built on the SR5 Premium trim.
17-inch alloy wheels, a Toyota heritage grille, and a 40th Anniversary logo on the tailgate firmly distinguish it.
As a nod to Toyota's classic off-road racers, a distinctive visual package in yellow, orange, and red was produced exclusively for the special edition.
Inside the new Toyota 4Runner, you'll find special badges on the center console, cross-stitched shift knobs, and gold stitching on seats, as well as 40th Anniversary floormats.
It's disappointing that the base 270-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 and five-speed automatic gearbox won't get any upgrades. There is no word yet from Toyota on when or how much the 40th Anniversary Special Edition of the 4Runner will cost.
