The Tata Curvv Comes To Life: New Production Models And Pricing Details Announced
by AutoExpert | 22 July, 2024
Tata unveiled the Curvv in its production form. Those interested may get this vehicle in both ICE and EV variants. Specifically, the carmaker is planning to debut the Tata Curvv in the Indian market in August 2024. To start with, there are just minor cosmetic changes between the concept and manufacturing models.
Redesigned full-LED headlights sit above a slightly modified grille; conventional mirrors, smaller wheels, and a less noticeable rear spoiler are among the notable alterations.
The electric vehicles differ from internal combustion engine vehicles only in their lack of grilles, bumper-mounted charging ports, and EV emblems; otherwise, the sheet metal on the sides and back looks the same. The electric version also comes with a new set of sporty alloy wheels.
Tata did not release pictures of the interior. It is believed that the Curvv and the Nexon subcompact SUV would share powertrain choices, given that they are both built on Tata's Gen 2 architecture. A 1.5-liter diesel engine may be available down the road, but a turbo 1.2-liter gasoline engine is likely to be available for the ICE-powered Curvv initially.
Instead, two battery choices, each boasting a range of up to 311 miles, are rumored to be available for the electric vehicle. In addition to revealing prices for the Indian market, the Tata Curvv will formally launch on August 7 with the announcement of its exact technical specs.
Prices for the Curvv.EV might start at Rs 20 lakh ($23,905), while the ICE-powered Curvv could start at roughly Rs 10.50 lakh ($12,550), according to local newspaper Car Dekho.
