The Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 B-Roll Awakens Your Racer Spirit Within

After seven successful years of the first Huracan Super Trofeo, Lamborghini Squadra Corse presents its new brother – the almighty Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 racing car. This newly designed version will dominate each of the three continental Lamborghini series starting next year. Featuring radical aerodynamic refinements and an uncompromising design created by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the EVO2 will become the brand’s most high-performance variant ever to race in the one-make series.
It’s no surprise that the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 took the best from the previous generations and brought it to the extreme. Take, for example, the front end that presents a radical change, that reshapes the stylish Huracan STO with new high-intensity full LED light clusters, a hexagonal design, and a pronounced “omega”, bringing along new air curtain intakes and optimized airflow. The bodywork includes replaced plastic materials with carbon fiber, rear fenders are now composed of a single element, which includes part of the side spoiler, for optimal surface continuity.
The Italian automaker history shows that The Huracán is one of the biggest bestsellers in the history of the brand. According to Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, “the Super Trofeo is the best testing ground for technical and aerodynamic solutions for both road cars and GTs, and with the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, we have definitely taken another step forward. In April 2021 we celebrated the milestone of the 400th Huracán racing car, and our goal with the Super Trofeo EVO2 is to reach 500 in just a few years”.
Squadra Corse took the honor to design and develop the racer’s braking system. The team aimed to increase the steel front discs from 380 to 390 mm, adding new accommodative calipers. As for the propulsion, here comes a bigger surprise - the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine delivers it at maximum power. The final output would be at least 640 horsepower and an engine coupled to the sequential six-speed X-Trac gearbox and combined with RWD.
“The Super Trofeo is the basis of our concept of customer racing, capable of involving and exciting both young talents and gentlemen drivers. The Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 is dedicated to both categories of drivers, and we have designed it with the precise aim of offering an even more engaging driving experience while paying the utmost attention to running costs,” said Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini’s Head of Motorsport
The Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 will debut on May 28 in Le Castellet, celebrating the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. The European customers might pay up to €250,000 ($301,000), no taxes included. Lamborghini promised even a dedicated kit next year, available for Huracán Super Trofeo EVO.
