When Genesis announced that the G70 and GV70will join the European entry last week now, only G70 is headed to the Old Continent.  If you did not know, Genesis always offers the most luxury cars that could compete even with the beloved Bugatti. The latest G70 Shooting Brake is a stylish wagon and could compete in style with its segment siblings - Mercedes C-Class Estate, BMW 3 Series Touring, or the Audi A4 Avant.

The G70 has the same size as the sedan it's based upon starting with the long-roof of 4,685 millimeters (184.4 inches) in length, 1,850 mm (72.8 in) in width, and 1,400 mm (55.1 in) in height, and the identical 2,835 mm (111.6 in) wheelbase. Still, we get a reshaped body that allowed the engineers to car’s boost cargo capacity by 40 percent. The biggest surprise is the practicality it brings along, with the manufacturer install of the 40:20:40 split-folding rear bench.

As mentioned above, based on the facelifted sedan unveiled in South Korea, in September last year echoing the design of its three-box cousin. Did you notice the corporate’s Two Lines signature carried over and gets more prominent on the wagon version as the split taillights extend onto the tailgate?

More technical specifications will be revealed later and everyone expects more than 2.0T and AWD badges. Everyone is eager to see what options will the Shooting Brake feature. Will there be an RWD variant and a bigger 3.3-liter V6. This summer, when G70 Shooting Brake is coming to Europe, starting its journey in Germany, Switzerland, and after the UK it’ll be heading to other markets.

The Electrified G80 model will follow in G70’s steps heading to Europe with two additional electric vehicles coming within a year. We’re still waiting for the name confirmations for those two unveiled EVs, one of them being a dedicated electric vehicle, while the other could be the GV70 EV since it appears in a Hyundai Motor Group product roadmap part.
