'THE CAR OF THE YEAR' 2021 Goes To TOYOTA YARIS

‘The Car of the Year 2021’ just announced its winner – the elegant Toyota Yaris. The award show was broadcasted entirely live on March 1, 2021, from Geneva via the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) website.
After well-thought voting from almost 60 jury members from 22 different countries, Frank Janssen, the president of the show, announced Toyota Yaris as the most prestigious car of the year.
The jury composed of automotive journalists had a tough task to make – to choose the one and only car worthy of the prestigious 'The Car of The Year 2021' trophy, from the total of seven finalist car models. Toyota Yaris prevailed its competitors and won the most coveted award in the automotive world since 1964, with a well-deserved majority of 266 points,
The Car of The Year 2021” award is a “recognition of the passion of both Japanese and European developments teams and a pride for Toyota’s customers” stated Matt Harrison, the Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Europe.
GIMS is the organizer of “The Car of The Year” for the tenth year in a row, and this is the second year of a Livestreamed event due to the pandemic restrictions. This year the GIMS team showed the true elegance of know-how and experience of a broadcasted show with class.
Toyota Yaris won the competition over its other six competitors like Fiat New 500, Cupra Fermentor, Volkswagen ID.3, Škoda Octavia, Land Rover Defender, and Citroen C4.
