Tesla Cybertruck Concept Transforms A Pickup Truck Into A Powerful Catamaran
by AutoExpert | 8 February, 2022
When it comes to combining electric automobiles with water, a new catamaran design is pushing the envelope. The Cybercat and the Cybercat Foiler are two different versions of the same concept. Both turn the yet-to-be-released Tesla Cybertruck into a catamaran, but one has hydrofoils for increased efficiency on the water.
The conversion kit was designed so that a single person could convert the pickup, with all of the components foldable for easy storage in the vehicle itself.
According to the company, the Cybercat will have a top speed of over 25 mph (22 knots) and a range of more than 115 miles at 6 mph (100 nautical miles at 5 knots). The Cybercat Foiler can reach speeds of 40 mph (35 knots) and has a similar top-end range. The push is provided by up to five outboard engines.
Although the concept appears to be far-fetched, the firm claims to have a valid patent for the conversion and is accepting bookings. There is no deposit necessary because the company understands that the Cybercat's success is based on when the Tesla Cybertruck appears.
