SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo Predicts 20 years into the future

The FCA US LLC has come up with a concept car that is truly futuristic and tests the limits of reality with a V10 able to output 2,590 horsepower on a virtual track.

SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo X hypercar is featured exclusively in a PlayStation 3 project called the Vision Gran Turismo 6 or GT6. To unlock the experimental Tomahawk X, the player will have to beat the game at different difficulty levels with an entry-level Tomahawk S and later with the GTS-R version. To give you an idea of how insane the car's design is, the game designers had to adjust internal game physics to accommodate this experimental vehicle and the in-game interactions.

The man responsible for designing the SRT Tomahawk is Paul Hoste, a young designer that grew up playing the GT game. He gave the car its aggressive yet pleasantly aesthetic look.

In terms of technical engineering, this is a virtual masterpiece designed for the real world. It weighs only 1,658 pounds due to ultra-lightweight materials in the chassis and body. The V10 engine develops around 2,168 hp sent to the rear wheels, while the front wheels are independently driven by pneumatic energy. The combined power totals to around 2.590 hp. During extreme conditions, the driver's G-suit is activated by pressurized air.

Here is a short overview of the 3 performance levels of SRT Tomahawk.

Entry - Level S:

It has a 7.0-liter V10 that delivers 1,007 hp (792 from rear wheels and 215 hp from the front) with a top speed of 250 mph.

GTS-R version:

The same engine after tuning produces 1,450 hp (1,137 from rear and 313 from front) with a top speed of 300 mph.

Experimental Version X:

The engine now outputs a total of 2,590 hp with 14,500 rpm (2,168 from rear and 422 from front powertrain) which shoots the top speed all the way up to an insane 404 mph. The driver of this version is required to wear a Suit for protection!

The SRT Tomahawk Vision GT is a single-seater, all-wheel-drive car that use the power of a V10 engine and the next-gen variable-fin quad-stage pneumatic power unit that drive the front wheels.

The GT6 fans will be able to take the out-of-this-world car for a ride when the game is launched on PS3
