Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Is The $1 Million Supercar Killer For 2025

Chevrolet has revealed more jaw-dropping performance specs for the 2025 Corvette ZR1. With the ZTK Performance Package, the ZR1 rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and blasts through the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph. Even the standard ZR1 isn’t far behind, hitting 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and completing the quarter-mile in 9.7 seconds at 152 mph.
All tests were done on 93-octane pump gas on a non-prepped surface, showing the ZR1’s real-world capability. For context, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon matched the ZR1’s 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds and managed the quarter-mile in 9.65 seconds at 140 mph.
The Demon 170 improved those figures, with a quick 1.66-second 0-60 mph sprint and an 8.91-second quarter-mile at 151.17 mph. However, rollouts and other variables make direct comparisons tricky. Regardless, the Corvette ZR1’s numbers are impressive. Chief Engineer Josh Holder noted, “The 2025 Corvette ZR1 exceeded our expectations.” He highlighted its top speed of 233 mph, an unrivaled feat for any production car under $1 million.
This beast is powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine, which generates 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with an upgraded eight-speed dual-clutch transmission featuring stronger shafts and improved lubrication to handle the immense power.
