Rolls-Royce mocks Maybach: This is not a competitor!

In a recent interview, the British company spokesman said the limousines with double-M logo are hardly a rival for Rolls-Royce!
Even though prices are very similar which would make them direct competitors, RR argues that they do not see the Mercedes Maybach as a rival. Moreover, the British argue that it is unfair to compare the acquisition costs alone as Rolls-Royce customers don't take into consideration the financial situation when they come to RR showrooms.
Rolls-Royce customers are not necessarily guided by the need to buy a car and actual competitors of the brand do not necessarily belong to the automotive industry. "Rolls Royce rivals can be airplanes, helicopters, yachts, or even real estate," said Gerry Spahn! Some of Rolls-Royce customers get to spend 20 million dollars on a yacht and they choose to go home in a RR limo!
