After much anticipation, Bentley has completed its official development program for the luxurious Batur model. With the green light given, the automaker can now roll up their sleeves and dive into the challenging task of constructing the 18 stunning coupes.
In order to guarantee its ability to withstand rigorous testing, two test vehicles were developed: the Car Zero and the Car Zero-Zero. The Car Zero has a special Purple Sector paint job, while the Car Zero-Zero is painted Marina Teal.
The program put the handling and speed capabilities of the tracks to the test, pushing them to over 200 mph! Additionally, the comfort of the ride was evaluated on bumpy surfaces. The pre-production Baturs went through an impressive endurance test, covering a whopping 18,641 miles over a period of 58 weeks. The cars endured an impressive 600+ hours of exposure to solar loading.
Bentley Batur boasts an impressive W12 engine that packs a punch with 740 horsepower, earning it the title of the mightiest Bentley powertrain to date. To be sure it could take that much power, the vehicles were put through 100 weeks of testing. So, Batur is all set to begin production, and it will likely continue through the end of 2024.
