Roman Martynenko and his wife were woken up during the night by a strong smell of smoke. Thinking it was a fire they quickly ran to the garage to see what was happening.
They were surprised to see their car, a Porsche Panamera 4S engulfed in flames that were coming from under the hood! The couple tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher but their efforts were in vain and they had to call a fire crew!
To clarify the case, Roman and his wife hired independent experts and the results of the investigation came quickly. The fire was caused by a short circuit in the engine compartment of the Panamera! And because the man was a loyal customer of the brand and furthermore, personally knew Wolfgang Porsche in person, he sought compensation but the request was refused.
Moreover, Porsche officials have said there is no official recognition of this problem on Panamera models, adding that official experts from Porsche have not been allowed to investigate the case!
However, the couple insists that the Germans should pay damages in the amount of 100 million Russian rubles, the equivalent of 1.35 million euros or 1.5 million dollars.
