Porsche plans a "baby Panamera"

According to the British Autocar, Porsche has plans for a model smaller than Panamera, which could compete in the big premium class.
As we are used to the fact that in German manufacturer's range is already normal to see "brothers" for luxury models: Porsche 911 is seconded by Boxster/Cayman and Cayenne SUV by the new Macan, Panamera downsizing is not so inconceivable. "Baby-Pananera" would enter into direct competition with prestigious high class sedans such as the German BMW 5 Series, the British Jaguar XF and the Italian Maserati Ghibli.
According to Autocar sources, the future model would use the new platform MSB developed by the Volkswagen group for high-end models, debuting on the market no earlier than 2016. However stated, Porsche says that the problems are not related to profitability or design, but to limits of the production capacity.
