Porsche may expand its range with a five-door coupé version of Cayenne

Fighting in the SUV Coupe is becoming increasingly interesting. When Mercedes announced a coupe version of the ML, now Porsche has similar plans. The Brits from Autocar announced that Porsche Cayenne could receive a five-door coupe version in 2018.
That version will be promoted as a proposal sporty Cayenne range and is already in an advanced stage, said the sources from Porsche brand, quotes for publication in the United Kingdom.
The future Cayenne coupe will be based on the Volkswagen Group MLB platform, which it will share with six other SUVs of the conglomerate in Wolfsburg. Until then, is expected the launch of the third generation of the Cayenne, scheduled for 2017.
Coupe version of the German SUV would bring impressive volumes, since it is prepared to fight in a segment of the growing, being approached by Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover and BMW.
