Porsche Design Marks 50 Years With The 911 Targa GTS Inspired By A Watch

To commemorate the semicentennial of the department responsible for high-end components, the 2022 Porsche 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design shows up, and only 750 are being produced by the firm. A 911 Targa 4 GTS is the foundation of the special edition automobile.
On the doors, there are Porsche Design insignia, and on the rear deck grille, there are a "50 Years Porsche Design" mark. These cars are equipped with center-locking 911 Turbo S wheels that are 20 inches in diameter in the front and 21 inches in the rear. The brake calipers are finished in a high-gloss black.
The seats are covered in a checkered pattern made of a combination of Black and Cool Grey Sport-Tex material, while a 50 Years Porsche Design emblem may be seen on the headrests. The vehicle's manufacturing run is indicated by a silver numbered plaque on the dash, and the center console lid has the autograph of Porsche Design creator Ferdinand Alexander Porsche.
Special features are added to the 911 Targa 4 GTS in this special version. The 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus comes standard on this model. The drivetrain hasn't altered. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six motor in the 911 Targa 4 GTS produces 473 hp (352 kW) and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque. It has an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard, but a seven-speed manual transmission is available.
The all-black Chronograph 1 watch was Porsche Design's debut offering. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary by releasing two new clocks that are designed to look like it. The Chronograph 1 – 911 50 Years of Porsche Design and the Chronograph 1 – 1972 Limited Edition are the two models available.
The Chronograph 1 – 911 50 Years of Porsche Design will be included with each 911 Targa 4 GTS special edition.
After the $1,350 destination charge, the pair will sell for $197,200. The cars will be delivered starting in the spring of 2022. The Chronograph 1 -1972 Limited Edition will be limited to 500 pieces. In terms of size and style, they'll be similar to the originals, and they'll have the iconic Porsche Design emblem. One will set you back $7,700.
