They have released a teaser image of the car in advance of the show. It is both electric and driverless capable.
So another manufacturer is jumping into the driverless car arena, Nissan will unveil its concept car at the Tokyo Motor show. It will be a joint venture with Renault.
Carlos Ghosn of the Renault Nissan Alliance says that both manufacturers will have autonomous cars on the road by 2020. It will not be a totally self-driving car and the production version will still need driver input and will have a steering wheel and pedals.
There are not many details of the concept available and the teaser image does not tell us a lot. We are sure more details will emerge out of the Tokyo Show.
