Unofficial sources claim that it could be not only the 482,000 cars delivered in the US but a total of more than 11 million units, equipped with 2.0-liter diesel motorization.
And on these tectonic backgrounds, Mercedes-Benz decided to revise a little ideas for the future, shifted toward the cars powered by hybrid plug-in technology. And because Mercedes does not have the resources and experience necessary they will appeal to BMW and Audi! About this even announced the CEO of the Daimler Company Dieter Zetsche.
The new strategy and access of the technologies to its rivals could reduce the final costs not only for hybrid models from Mercedes but also for other producers so that the strategy of the German company to exclude as soon as possible in the series all the models equipped with diesel engines that could draw of success in the coming years.
