Meet The New All-Electric 2022 Kia EV6
by AutoExpert | 15 March, 2021
The new 2022 Kia EV6 is a jewel based on the same platform as Ioniq 5 and here are the first official photos to prove it. Remind that this is the first Kia EV6 all-electric vehicle. Despite the fact that there are no technical specification details revealed and we're still waiting for its official premiere, there's some obvious thing to notice about it.
It has been revealed that the car is based on the Electric-Global-Modula Platform (E-GMP) as the Ioniq 5 with some differences. The design philosophy of the battery-electric car is based on a five-key design pillar and is called Opposites United. The five-design philosophy pillars are 'Bold for Nature', 'Joy for Reason', 'Power to Progress', 'Technology for Life', and 'Tension and Serenity'.
The exterior shows a front view with features of striking headlights and LED daytime running lights and gives the look-alike of Kia's tiger-nose grille named a 'Digital Tiger Face'. Kia also managed to adopt a swept-back windshield, bold rear haunches, a purposeful character line running along the bottom of the doors, and the sloping C-pillars. Other features are the complex LED taillight arrangement.
For the interior, Kia used a very distinct one for other Kia models, including a curved screen encompassing both the all-digital gauge cluster and the navigation screen. The two-spoke steering wheel is a simple one, while the control over the HVAC system features touchscreen buttons providing haptic feedback. The EV6 has eco-friendly seats made using recycled plastics.
The official premiere of the 2022 Kia EV6 is scheduled for later this month and will reveal the details of the final technical specifications. Until then enjoy the first photos of the latest dedicated battery electric vehicle on the market.
