Australian workers now have a brand new option for a fresh EV truck thanks to the domestic launch of the LDV eDeliver7 by SAIC from China.
The vehicle is meant to secure sales among small businesses, corporate fleets, and transport companies.
Moreover, it serves as LDV’s fourth electric vehicle sold in the country, accompanying the MIFA 9 people mover, the larger eDeliver9, and the eT60 pickup.
Sitting at the core of the range is the 60.000 USD SWB Low Roof, sold with a 77 kWh battery pack and an electric motor at the front axle with 201 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque.
LDV declared that this very version can travel up to 197 miles on one charge only and it accepts up to 78 kW DC charging, allowing it to charge from 20 to 80% in 43 minutes.
The blue-blooded ones can opt for the 40.800 USD LWB Low Roof. It sports the same battery pack, electric motor, and charging specifications as the entry-level, but the extended wheelbase increases the load volume to 236 cubic feet but reduces the range to 192 miles.
This eDeliver7 is available with a bigger 88 kWh battery pack, 225 miles of range, and identical cargo space for the starting price of 42.800 USD.
Crowning the lineup is the LWB High Roof with the 88 kWh battery pack. This version is priced at 44.100 USD and up, and can travel up to 204 miles with a single charge, sporting 307 cubic feet of carrying ability. All four versions come with a 5-year/160.000 km and an 8-year/250.000 km guarantee for the battery.
On that note, Dinesh Chinnappa, the LDV General Manager, said that with the all-new eDeliver 7, LDV set out to master the dare of developing a commercially viable electric van for Australia. the company observed that many wild-priced EVs that have arrived in the Australian market recently and have worked relentlessly with their partners in China to achieve the same result in their next commercial EV.
