Hyundai To Debut Ioniq 9, A Spacious Three-Row Electric SUV, Later This Year
by AutoExpert | 17 July, 2024
Now we know for sure: Hyundai will unveil their three-row electric SUV later this year, and sales will begin in 2025. Taking cues from the Kia EV9 and the Palisade, the carmaker might refer to it as the Ioniq 9.
Hyundai's new electric vehicle underwent testing on various US roadways just a few months ago. The SUV's unique greenhouse and other design features will be reminiscent of the Ioniq Seven concept from 2021.
The 2025 Ioniq 9 will most likely have the same powerplant and battery setup as its Kia counterpart, as well as ride on Hyundai's E-GMP architecture.
A rear-wheel drive version of the EV9 with 215 hp is available at the entry level, while an all-wheel drive version with 379 hp and a larger battery comes out on top of the lineup. Later this year, the brand-new Hyundai Ioniq 9 will make its premiere, so stay tuned!
