Hennessey Corvette Stingray C8 Convertible Hits 710 HP: A Tesla Cybertruck Challenger

American tuning legends Hennessey just dropped a hot new upgrade for the drop-top Corvette Stingray C8, boosting it to a crazy 710 horsepower – yes, it's faster than the Z06!
To test this beast, they even lined it up in a drag race against a Tesla Cybertruck. Talk about a mismatch – that giant truck against a sleek Corvette?
Okay, hear me out. Electric cars change the game when it comes to straight-up speed. Plus, this wasn't the insane three-motor Cybertruck with 845 horsepower, just a regular dual-motor with 600 hp.
But even with all that electric power, the Cybertruck weighs in at a massive 6,603 pounds – the Corvette weighs half that at 3,467 pounds. That's gonna hurt the Tesla, even with the extra 44% horsepower upgrade this Corvette's packing.
Hardtop Corvettes have been rockin' this H700 upgrade for a while now, but this is brand new for the convertible.
So, what does the H700 package do? It adds a serious supercharger, upgraded fuel system, a new air intake, even retunes the transmission. All that boosts the 6.2-liter V8 to a screaming 710 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque – a huge jump from the stock 490 hp and 470 lb-ft. Plus, it looks sweet with 19-inch forged wheels and a mean-sounding exhaust.
Hennessey hasn't dropped the price for this upgrade yet, but the hardtop version runs $35,000 to $50,000, so expect it to be in that ballpark.
