There were rumors around the new BMW SUV for a long time and according to sources from Bavarian company, it might even be the long-awaited BMW X7.
Little is known about the new project, but the fact is that it will finally debut towards the end of 2017. Spies managed to identify a BMW 7 Series concept, which had annexed weight plates, to mimic a higher center of gravity as the BMW X7 would have.
The suspension, drivetrain, and all-wheel-drive system could be borrowed from the current generation BMW X5, that have been already well tested with more powerful engines. According to the rumors, the new BMW X7 will start with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 544 horsepower which now can be found under the bonnet of the current-generation BMW 7 Series. Later on, they will offer smaller engines with six and eight cylinders.
Spanish journalists claim they have managed to find out the price of the new BMW X7 and it starts at 130,000 euros! Unfortunately, BMW did not publish any pictures of the new concept but hopefully, this will happen in the near future, until then, the designers from Teophillus Chin have tried to imagine how the spearhead of BMW's SUVs could look like.
