Ford Unveils Rugged Everest Tremor With Ranger Raptor DNA For The Australian Market

The third-generation Ford Everest just got an off-road upgrade with the new Tremor variant. Ford Australia unveiled this version, aiming to make the "ultimate family adventure vehicle" even closer to a Raptor with a host of enhancements.
Along with new springs and a revised suspension, Ford installed Bilstein position-sensitive dampers. Compared to the standard model, this new Ford Everest Tremor has an additional inch of ground clearance and rides on General Grabber AT3 tires.
For improved traction off-road, the Tremor model borrows the Ranger Raptor's Rock Crawl driving mode. On the other hand, the most formidable Everest has an alternate front grille adorned with a honeycomb design and integrated auxiliary LED lighting.
Ford has included a steel bash plate, heavy-duty side steps, and the Tremor badging to make it more appealing. Inside, future owners will find seats with ebony accents and Tremor-embossed leather, all-weather floor mats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, and dual-zone temperature control.
The Everest Tremor retains its 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel engine, which produces 247 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed automatic gearbox sends power to the four-wheel-drive system.
While its Australian counterpart, the Ranger Tremor, is a four-cylinder vehicle, the Everest Tremor is available only with a bigger V-6. There is no Rock Crawl option available on the pickup version, and this Command Grey paint job is exclusive.
Ford Australia's Everest Tremor starts at 76,590 AUD, with additional options available like Rough Terrain, Touring, Premium, and Towing packages. Production kicks off in November.
