First official images of the new Skoda Superb!

Czech car manufacturer, Skoda, has released the first official images of the exterior of the new Superb. The car will be presented to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show this spring and the official launch will take place in Prague on 17 February.
After several teasers with all kinds of sketches of the new Superb, Skoda finally decided to publish several exterior images.
Judging by the photos the new Superb, like its predecessor, uses last generation VW Passat platform. However, Skoda designers have managed to give the car characteristic features, in particular with the grille and headlights. The manufacturer declares that the new Skoda Superb is the best ever built and the new generation will also involve new technologies. While it is considered the top of the range and uses Passat's platform, Skoda's gadgets are inferior to its German brother. The reason is to be able to differentiate each class to which each car belongs.
Superb will use the advantages of the previous generation, namely, a spacious interior. The length has increased by 20 mm and the clearance has increased by just 80 mm measuring 2.84 cm. Thanks to the larger size, the volume of the trunk has also increased and now reaches 625 liters or 1,760 liters when the rear seats are folded.
As for the engines, it is rumored that two gasoline engines of 1.4 and 1.8 l and two diesel ones of 1.6 - 2.0 l developing a power between 120-260 hp. All engines will be offered with a DSG gearbox or 6-speed manual.
