Fast And Furious Toyota Supra Gets Sold For More Than Half A Million Dollars

Barrett-Jackson's Toyota Supra that starred in Fast & Furious just got sold at a Las Vegas auction for USD 550.000, which is a record sum. However, when you think that the 1994 car featured in two films – the 2001 and the 2003 ones – it kind of makes sense.
There was an identical Supra sold in 2015 for as “little” as USD 185.000. That car ran on a naturally-aspirated engine teamed with fake nitro buttles. This 1994 Supra, on the other hand, runs on a twin-turbocharged 2JZ-GTE 3.0-liter inline-six, which reaches 320 hp (324 PS / 239 kW) and has a torque of 315 lb-ft (427 Nm). Seems this Supra has an automatic 4-speed transmission, although the previous pictures showed a disguised manual-wannabe gear knob.
The interior features everything you’ve seen in the movie: the three-spoke steering wheel, extra-gauges on the A-pillar and the passenger’s side, and blue upholstery.
The car is finished in Candy Orange from Lamborghini, with Nuclear Gladiator graphics. The latter are here courtesy of Troy Lee Designs. Supra is “dressed” in a Boomex bodykit, with side and bumper skirts, an APR rear wing, and Racing Hart M5 wheels measuring 19 inches.
This Supra went from Edie Paul (The Shark Shop, California) to being severely modified for the second movie, where we’ve seen it as Slap Jack’s Supra. The car was then brought back to its original forms. This is one of the most popular cars ever, so why not pay over half a million for it, right?
