Could Hennessey Build a 1,000 Horsepower EV?

During SEMA 2015, John Hennessey told Top Gear Magazine, that they are considering working on something electric. Maybe an electric Venom GT.
They are just waiting for a time when batteries shed some weight down, a time which they believe is right around the corner.
Hennessey also said that he is not interested in making a hybrid like McLaren, Porsche, and Ferrari. He's either going ICE or all-electric.
Note: Hennessey brought a 1,451 Venom GT to SEMA 2015. It can achieve a theoretical 280 mph, which is 10 mph faster than the current top speed record holders.
