Big Block V8 Saab For Sale On Bring A Trailer

It's impossible not to fall in love with a quick wagon, and this magnificent 1971 Saab 95 is precisely that. The 95's initial motor was a V4, as is well-known. Nevertheless, a 502-cubic-inch V8 has taken its place, giving the car more than twice the cylinders and more than almost double performance.
We don't know the horsepower, and neither does the dealer. After the previous owner died, they're selling the automobile for a private party, therefore many facts have been lost.
A 502 crate motor with 461 horsepower (339 kW) and 558 lb-ft (756 Nm) of torque is still available from Chevrolet, but we can't guarantee that these engines are linked. Meanwhile, we know that all of the power this monster produces is channeled through a two-speed gearbox. As a result, we believe it is much less practical than its wagon design suggests.
When you look at the back of the Saab, this is amplified even more. When a new engine, gearbox, and rear-end were fitted, a lot of things had to be modified. The inclusion of a fuel cell that occupies almost the whole trunk was one major alteration that curtailed cargo room.
