From February 28 to March 3, Fisker Ocean electric SUV will make its European public premiere at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Fisker has built a European office in Munich, Germany, and plans to open a brand experience center as well. In Europe, it expects to sell roughly 60,000 vehicles each year.

"I couldn't be more excited to unveil the Fisker Ocean in Spain and present its unique combination of performance, value, and technology to the European media and prospective owners," commented CEO Henrik Fisker.

Fisker is dedicated to producing a real SUV, so the Ocean's design remains loyal to the idea initially displayed in 2019. Its thin lighting, short overhangs, and broad posture are intended to emphasize its road presence and provide strong hints about future Fisker vehicles' designs.

It's still a five-seater, with an interior made of recycled fishing nets, T-shirts, and rubber as part of the company's dedication to sustainability. The carmaker says that Fisker Ocean is the most environmentally friendly electric vehicle on the market. There will be three trim options to choose from. The Sport has a 275 hp engine on the front axle for a 6.6 sec 0-60 mph time, the Ultra has an engine on each axle for 540 hp and a 3.9 sec 0-60 mph time, and the top Extreme has 550 hp and a 3.6 sec 0-60 mph time.

All cars come standard with Earth and Fun driving modes, while the Ultra and Extreme have Hyper mode, which improves performance. There's also an off-road mode on the Extreme. Fisker hasn't confirmed the exact battery capacity but expects a range of 250 to 350 miles depending on specifications. The charging capabilities have yet to be disclosed, but the Ocean's solar-panel roof may provide up to 2000 miles of range each year in good circumstances.

Fisker Ocean costs $37,499 to $68,999 in the United Kingdom and $37,499 to $68,999 in the United States. There will be a group of Fisker EVs after the Ocean, including the Project Pear, developed in partnership with Foxconn and scheduled to be on sale in the second half of 2023.
