Audi R8 falls prey to a downsizing. It may be equipped with a 2.5-liter engine!

The new generation of the Sportcar in Ingolstadt, Audi R8, is already working with it and did not fail to appear and receive assumptions. They had just come from the UK and if it were to be believed, the new R8 could be equipped with a five-cylinder engine with a maximum volume of 2.5 liters!
One thing is sure 100% that Audi will give up for the 4.2-liter FSI V8 drive, present on the first generation, a fact confirmed by its top executives. Hence, the international experts have assumed that the R8 could be equipped with a new 3.0-liter V6 turbo-aspirated, which will debut in the Audi S4's body in 2016.
Well, this has not been unconfirmed or invalidated yet, only the meantime, have appeared new rumors, saying that the Supercar could be equipped with an engine and smaller than that! The latter will trigger an entry-level version of Audi R8!
And here, people refer to the engine installed under the hood of the Audi RS3 Sportback, R8's chassis only, will arrive in a somewhat modified form. First of all you "fail" turbo system, which will be replaced with the new generation e-turbo, similar treatment to be applied to the 3.0-liter V6 them. We do not know what performance could be taken for new engines, but hopefully, the R8 will not turn into a car for grandparents!
