Audi Made The Procrustean A7L Sedan For The Chinese Market And American Fans Aren't Fond Of It!

When a manufacturer needs to adapt its concept model to another country's market, there's a lot of things to reconsider Audi had to remaster and turn the A7 Sportback model for the Chinese market, and despite the fact that it won't reach American soil, they're upset about the results. The Chinese version is was named Audi Procrustean A7L Sedan.
During a photo shoot in China, spy photos surfaced and what we see as a beautiful Sedan, turns out to be a disappointment for the original A7L Sportback Sedan model. Generally, the Chinese version has an extended wheelbase, which required redesigning the roofline, increasing the size of the second-row side windows.
There are several modifications to the rear end sporting a traditional sedan truck opening along with a prominent lip spoiler on the trunk's lid and some tweaked taillights with all-new LED graphics. The car will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-four and a 3.0-liter turbo V6.
The model will be manufactured via a SAIC-VW joint venture at a Shanghai plant later this year. According to Car News China reports, the A7L Sedan, based on the MLB Evo platform, could deliver a 55TFSI Quattro model range, More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
