Audi A1 and A3 is preparing to launch models with three-cylinder engines!

Rupert Stadler, Audi's CEO, said that the German brand will launch a version of A1 powered by a three cylinder Otto, after which they will launch the same engine in the A3 range.
The Audi CEO promises that the engines will provide more than enough torque and the drivers will not disappoint in terms of feeling. The Audi representative noted in the near future three-cylinder unit will be offered for bigger models from Ingolstadt.
Equipped with a three-cylinder will act to reduce the CO2 emissions level for the Ingolstadt brand and provide a new engine option for the smallest Audi ever available for sale. The A3 range, it could play the role of entry-level power plant currently earmarked a unit with four-cylinder 1.2 TFSI and 105 hp.
Currently in the A1 range, the entry-level engine is a 1.2 TFSI 86 hp .
