9 speed gearbox for Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse!

The E segment sedan will adopt the E350 BlueTec transmission version, following to replace the 7G-Tronic old units. The box will be called 9G-Tronic and will serve to propel the German model from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, so the customers who will opt for the 9 reports will be rewarded with fuel efficiency.
According to the official press release, the extra two gears are designed to reduce the average consumption from 5.5 liters to only 5.3 liters. Emissions, also, decrease from 144 to 138 g/km.
Besides this, the new E-Klasse range also received other improvements, such as getting rid of the six-speed manual gearbox offered as an E220 CDI standard version and replacing it with the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.
