When you think you’ve seen it all, think again! Besides the 6-wheeled Gladiator that premiered at the LA Motor Show recently, here is another 6-wheeled beast out there – the Wrangler-based Loco Hauk running on… steam.
Yes, steam. Loco Hauk is the creation of Hauk Designs from Pennsylvania and is running on a single-acting V4 of 100 cubic inches, with poppet valve uniflow steam, Trunk piston. It delivers a torque of 2500 lb-ft and up to 140 hp through a six-speed manual NSG370 transmission.
The car can carry 55 gallons of water which ensures a driving distance of up to 1.5 miles. Well, this car isn’t meant to drive anyway. It’s meant to impress, and we must say – it has achieved its target.
