2025 Honda Civic RS: A Closer Look At Japan's Latest Performance Hatchback
by AutoExpert | 1 August, 2024
Honda has made some major Civic lineup revisions for the 2025 model year. Most versions have deleted the 1.5-liter turbo engine outside of the US-only Si sedan. Fascinatingly, Japan's lineup is considerably different, with the hatchback still available using this popular powertrain.
To top it all off, a more thrilling 2025 Honda Civic RS variant is now available, including a stick shift and a number of technical enhancements.
Honda claims that their much better engine responsiveness results in a more exciting ride. Additionally, the Civic RS's handling is crisper thanks to its bigger front brakes and firmer steering torsion bar. Engineers reinforced the suspension, resulting in the Honda Civic RS riding 0.2 inches lower. Honda also added new bushings and dampers.
You'll also notice new 18-inch black wheels, red RS decals, and a revised front bumper. Meanwhile, the black trim has replaced the chrome accents. On the inside, you'll find an aluminum shift knob covered in leather and red stitching. Honda throws in some additional Sport and Individual settings for free with this Blasé JDM hatchback to make it sweeter. Japan is the only country that will be able to purchase this updated version.
