2021 Ford Bronco Riptide Concept Is For Adventure Seekers
by AutoExpert | 17 August, 2021
Ford has just introduced the Riptide, a revolutionary Bronco prototype. Last year's Bronco OG and Bronco + Filson Wildland Fire Rig concepts were built for wild outdoor experiences, and the 2021 Bronco Riptide continues in their footsteps.
Ford's newest design is based on a four-door Bronco with the Sasquatch Package but without the roof panels. The ordinary doors have also been substituted with tubular doors. The carmaker has also added a surfboard rack and painted the outside Velocity Blue to evoke ocean hues.
Many of the parts utilized by the Bronco Riptide 2021 are provided through Ford suppliers as extras. These include the Bimini roof, Yakima bike rack, the RIGID LED lightbar, and off-road mirror lights. The design also incorporates a distinctive front steel bumper, helping show how front racks may be placed without disturbing the hardtop.
In Black Onyx and Dark Space Grey materials, the interior of the Bronco Riptide is completed with marine-grade vinyl trimmed seats and rubberized floormats which enable easy washing.
It includes 35" mud-terrain tires, 17" Ford Performance Beadlock wheels, front and back Dana electronic locking axles, Bilstein long-distance shock absorbers, and the exclusive Bronco Terrain Management System with seven GOAT (Go Over Any Terrain) modes as part of the Sasquatch kit.
"We envisioned a client that likes the fresh air and the lively West Coast lifestyle for our Bronco Riptide concept," says Missy Coolsaet, color and materials designer.
