2017 Jaguar XF Receives An AWD Update
by AllAutoExperts | 15 January, 2016
The luxurious sedan was released in April 2015 and today it already received an update. Given it is not something earth-shattering or is it, the update was the addition of the all-wheel-drive system.
The same AWD system sits on the F-Type and is special. Meaning it sends the power to the rear wheels but activates the front wheels when more grip is required aka the torque-on-demand system.
The XF is powered by a 2-liter diesel engine that can produce 180 hp and propels the sedan to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds for a top speed of 136 mph. There are other engine options for different versions of the XF which have a power range between 163 hp and 380 hp.
Another feature of the update was the Jaguar Configurable Dynamics that allows the driver to control and adjust the steering, throttle, transmission, and suspension. The XF AWD also offers Adaptive Surface Response for rainy, icy or snowy roads.
