Will You Part With $464,000 For A New Special Porsche 911 Turbo S?
by AutoExpert | 27 January, 2022
The Porsche dealership lists this Porsche 911 Turbo S for $364,995, but the seller says it's actually priced at $464,000 due to the vehicle's uniqueness. Why spend $160,000, the price of a brand new 992 GT3, on personalizing a Porsche 911?
The answer is so simple. Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur personalization division applied a near-$100,000 paint job to this Turbo. Urban Bamboo is a Chromaflair paint color that varies based on the light and the angle from which it is viewed.
The Chromaflair paint option has appeared on several Porsches in recent years, with prices ranging from €80,000 to €90,000 in Europe and $90,000 to $100,000 in the United States. It's a high-end treatment that doesn't necessarily translate well in images.
An Exclusive Manufaktur leather interior 930 Leather Package inspired by the inside of the original 1975 Porsche Turbo, as well as luxuries like a carbon roof, sports exhaust, and Burmester hifi, account for the remaining $60k in options spent on this car. With 640 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, and all-wheel drive, the standard 911 Turbo S won't leave the new owner looking mistreated.
After hearing about this Porsche 911 Turbo S in February 2021, the dealer claimed it had been sold, but we now know that the sale was canceled and the vehicle is still available. However, now that the new 911 Turbo S Lightweight has been out, it's no longer the big deal it once was, therefore we expect the dealer will have a hard time reaching its $464,000 objective.
